The shed floor in our backyard has a rotten floor from a water breech over the past few years and was falling apart. i used scrap materials from previous projects to fix the floor and made it good. Hi sandra, the best way would be to replace the rotted wood, one section at a time. this will give the base of the shed to most strength. you can also add a support strip inside an outside the shed, fastening the new boards with bolts or screws that will go into all the pieces of wood.. After pulling away some of the rotted wood it looks (to me) as though the underlying support is still in tact. i don't know how old the shed is. the property is around 20 years old, so the shed will be less than that. my question is - to fix this can i simply rip up the rotted wood on top and replace it with new wood?.
Rotted. cost of replacing the side is about
